Stephen Pearcy came to Naperville, IL and kicked ass. His performance was part rock day on the Main Stage at the Last Fling Festival. Naperville is 35 miles west of downtown Chicago and has a population of 150,000.
Stephen Pearcy’s performance was great because it kept improving as the show progressed. The set consisted of mostly Ratt tunes, including deep cuts such as “You Think You’re Tough” and “U Got It” from the original Ratt EP. “Ten Miles Wide” from Pearcy’s latest solo album Smash fit right in with the classic Ratt sound and was the highlight of the show. That is when Stephen hit his groove. The band was flawless and provided great entertainment. Half way through the set, a steady rain fell from the sky, which animated Pearcy some more. As some people looked for shelter, Pearcy said, “pretend you are at a European rock fest and enjoy this.” At that point, the band rocked even harder. Other stand out songs included “Body Talk”, “Wanted Man”,” Lay It Down” and “I’m Insane”.
This show is a must see for any hard rock fan.
