“Poison never mentions us giving them a big break at all” says Stephen Pearcy on TM 647

Listen to “TM 647 Stephen Pearcy and Carl Alvarez” on Spreaker.

On this episode of Talking Metal, Mark Strigl talks to Stephen Pearcy about his new solo album Smash.  Other interview topics include Ratt’s Infestation album, M3, Rodney Dangerfield, Van Halen, Motley Crue, his health and much more.

When asked about the 1980’s Los Angeles hard rock and metal scene that Ratt helped create Stephen says “It got over saturated and by that time we were still off and running. We were on the road doing arenas for so many years till like 88, 89, no 89 and these new bands were all coming up and sure we had some of them open for us, the Queensryches, the Poisons and it’s funny that you say that because Poison never mentions us giving them a big break at all. If it wasn’t for us they would’ve have been, uh, got out of the gate.”
